This early gameplay test explores the core fantasy of the game: rats trying to reach a new bunker while turning the path into a nightmare for everyone who comes after.
The premise
The world is in chaos after an apocalypse. Survivors are living inside bunkers, but your bunker has run out of food. The only chance is to reach another bunker before it is too late.
The problem is simple: if fewer rats make it there, there will be more food left for you. So the journey quickly becomes a mix of survival, betrayal and very questionable teamwork.
Gameplay
I Will Survive, Idiot! is a multiplayer game where each player controls a rat trying to travel from point A to point B across four dangerous stages.
Each rat plays on their turn. While moving through the level, players can find traps and place them in the path, making life harder for the next rat.
The loop
Your old shelter has no food left. The next bunker is the only chance.
Each phase pushes the rats closer to safety, with new routes, hazards and opportunities.
Find tools along the way and leave surprises for the next player.
The fewer rats arrive, the more food remains. Friendship is optional.
